Movie pack
The Movies and TV pack
Movies and TV holds the screen questions: lines, characters, franchises, directors and the shows everybody has seen.
From blockbuster to cult series
Movies & TV covers the big screen and television with the same rule: closed, checkable sets where every title counts.
- Franchises: sagas, sequels, shared universes.
- Characters and the performances that stuck.
- Lines and scenes everyone recognises.
- Television: long formats, sitcoms, platforms.
Sagas have a famous half and a forgotten half
The question “Name one of the thirteen Star Trek films released theatrically from 1979 through 2016.” accepts 13 titles. Almost nobody holds them all in mind, and that is exactly what makes it playable.
Start by identifying the series in the question. A film from another franchise does not count, even if its title sounds similar.
Think of sequels, subtitles and different eras of the series. The tier revealed after your answer shows the points earned.
The same shape repeats across every big saga in the pack: a head everyone knows, and a long tail only the faithful do.
Name the film the others forget
On a saga the score does not reward having seen the films, it rewards remembering the ones nobody talks about.
A good tactic is to start from the end of a saga rather than the beginning. The first entries live in everyone's memory, the last ones far less.
The pack holds 168 games of 7 questions, 25 seconds each. A top answer is worth 700 points, and a perfect draw takes Krill as deep as the game allows.
Think beyond the first blockbuster that comes to mind. A less obvious title by the right director or from the right series can earn more points.
